Description

The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) is the highest award of merit given by the Engineering Design Graphics Division. This award recognizes significant contributions to the Division in terms of leadership, authorship, or support.

Details

  1. Any member of the Engineering Design Graphics Division is eligible for this award.
    This award may be given posthumously.
  2. This award is given annually.
  3. This award may be received once.

Procedure

The Chair of the Distinguished Service Record will distribute to the membership a request for nomination at a time sufficiently early in the spring that an award may be given at the ASEE Annual Meeting in June. This request may be mailed along with the spring election ballot. Nominations from the membership will remain active and in contention during all subsequent Distinguished Service Award considerations.

Award

The award will be a framed citation or plaque. The Chair will notify the recipient in a timely manner. The Chair, or his/her delegate, will introduce the DSA recipient at the Annual Meeting Awards Banquet where the recipient may address those assembled. Additionally, formal notification will be published in the Engineering Design Graphics Journal.
