In 2023-2024, the EDGD will recognize outstanding professional contributions to the field with the following awards:
The Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award is to encourage and recognize those persons who have made outstanding contributions to the field of graphics and EDGD of ASEE. The contributions include the teaching of students within the realm of interest of EDGD and participation in the EDGD activities. It recognizes long-term service to the Division and the profession through a certificate and citation.
The Chair’s Award
The Chair’s Award recognizes the outstanding paper presented at an EDGD sponsored ASEE Annual Conference session and carries a cash award.
The Rising Educator Award
The EDGD Rising Educator Award is presented to educators for demonstrating potential for substantial contributions to the field through engineering design graphics education research and/or scholarship.
